L'apparecchio per eliminare le rughe
in Bella Fuori
Persino i capelli ne trarrebbero giovamento!

“The Secret Signs Of Ageing: The ‘Ageing-Triangle’”The answer to natural youthful looks lies in the shape of your face – maintaining the ageing triangle without surgery.
Ageing is a process women and men are in constant battle with; combating crows feet, sagging jowls and wrinkly foreheads can be a tiresome and pricey procedure, often bringing few visible results for people who refuse to go under the knife. Now Dr Nick Mohindra, has pioneered a non-invasive device to address the shape of the face and combat the signs of aging – Oralift.
“As we grow older the lower facial height (the area between the nose and chin) of your face tends to decrease. This loss of facial height is a major contributor to facial ageing as the skin around the face and neck sags and the signs of facial ageing become exaggerated.
We think of the face in terms of a triangle. In youth the base of the triangle is at the cheeks and the point is at the chin. As we get older the triangle reverses. The formation of the jowls means that the base of the triangle is now at the chin and the tip goes upwards towards the nose.”
Until now, it was impossible to combat the change in the ageing triangle without cosmetic surgery. Oralift is a new device that has been developed to address and reverse the ageing triangle without invasive surgery.
Oralift is worn in the mouth for a couple of hours every two to three days. It works by creating a larger freeway space between the upper and lower jaws, redefining muscles that alter to allow the jaw to rest in a new position – reversing the ageing triangle as shown above.
Dr Rita Kappel, a cosmetic surgeon, discovered Oralift’s non-invasive anti-ageing properties for herself. She feels it heralds a new phase in anti-ageing, commenting on Oralift’s innovative nature:
“The ageing triangle is the result of the gradual diminishing of the bone-height between forehead and chin as we age. Oralift increases this height again by opening the freeway space. The skin that was becoming redundant as the height of the face was diminishing, causing deep skin folds next to the mouth and at the mandible, is now being stretched again as the oval form reappears. The boxy form at the jaw line is corrected and the wrinkles become less deep.”
Most patients using Oralift report additional benefits including:
• Reduced lines around the mouth, eyes and face
• Reduced bags under the eyes
• Increased fullness of the lips
• More prominent cheekbones
• Tightened and strengthened facial muscles
• Improved complexion and hair quality
• Strengthening and firming of the jaw line and neck
• Closed and repaired pores

ADD Dentalfacelift is a real alternative to surgical facelifts

“80% of patients treated with the ADD Dental Facelift looked between 5 and 20 years younger”
British Dental Journal
With time the lower facial height (the area between the nose and chin) decreases due to the loss of teeth and/or the wearing down of teeth. Dr. Mohindra discovered that this is one of the key factors in facial aging. You have only to think an elderly person who has lost their teeth to see the difference this can make. Missing and ground down teeth result in the sucked in and collapsed appearance around the mouth which causes vertical lines on the upper and lowers lips and all around the mouth. The effects don’t stop there. Because the tension on the skin of the face has been slackened the whole face is effected
Dental Facelift works by re-building and replacing missing and worn teeth. This builds the muscles in the face back up and tightens the skin.
Facial ageing is regarded as the gravity assisted downward migration of the soft tissues of the face. Nowadays we believe this is not the only reason. Bones of the face also change, which causes flattening of the cheek bones exacerbating this downward movement of the soft tissues.
Cosmetic surgeons think of the face in terms of a triangle. In youth the base of the triangle is at the cheeks and the point is at the chin. As we get older the triangle reverses. The formation of the jowls means that the base of the triangle is now at the chin and the tip goes upwards towards the nose.
Up until now surgery was the only answer to reverse the triangle. But after a short time the soft tissues would sag again. Now there is another answer – the ADD Dentalfacelift . This can reverse the triangle and because this procedure is truly anti aging the ageing process gets put into reverse gear. As we get older, the face keeps on improving. (See the long term effects). The pictures below show this reversal of the triangle.

Dr Nick Mohindra
After qualifying from Edinburgh, Nick Mohindra gained experience as an associate in London before becoming principal of general practices in South Wales and Kent, where he was a VT trainer for ten years. Nick’s interest in treating patients with facial pain led to his theory that lower facial height could be increased by much more than advocated in text books. This had the effect of patients looking much younger. His first research paper with Dr. David Davis from King’s was published in the BDJ in 1996, and inspired Nick to move away from general practice to focus on facial rejuvenation through dentistry.
Nick established Added Dimension Dentistry in Wimpole Street in 1999, initially treating just denture patients but later extended his work to treat patients with their own teeth. Nick called his rejuvenation technique “The Dentalfacelift” . His second research paper concluded that patients whose lower facial height had been increased looked between 5 and 20 years younger.
Nick has lectured extensively to both postgraduate groups and conferences (World Aesthetic Conference, London anti ageing Conference, University of Florence).
His most recent work has been the development of the Oralift appliances for which patents have been granted. Oralift seems to reverse the signs of facial ageing and slow down the ageing process on the face without the need for surgery. Nick is hoping that a University will agree to do clinical trials on the effects of using Oralift.
